Slow Down Madam!

Published by Gorgeous at 1:28 pm under Daily Grind

It was quiet hectic and full on in the last 6 months since I got back from Davao. During a month long visit, I have committed myself to find some work as soon as I get back to Perth, so as desired, I got my first retail job in November, then thought, this job isn’t really for me. Am getting getting less and less motivated each time I catch the train soon after school drop off. So at the start of the new year, I was off looking for some other alternatives. Yes, I got another job after a hectic training of 10 days. Mind you it was all paid training though.

Just this morning, I seem to realise that I was taking on my new-found 25 hours a week of freedom (that 5 hours a day my children are at school) too quickly by joining the crowd of mums on the fo workforce. But I can sense the effect of it now, I need a break. Getting back to work should at least helped me to develop my organising skills, you know the kind of.. preparing kids lunches in the evening, laundry and vacuuming in between dinner preparation and stuff like that. But hey, who wants to join the rat race anyway. In many ways, it taught me lessons but at this very moment, I just thought, I have to slow down a bit. So I flicked yoga pose position to give me hints and right now am considering to get myself back into yoga routine but, again, slowly, not pushing myself in order to reap the benefits of it rather that resenting every move I made.

Freedom to earn extra cash by working is great and gives you a sense of independence, but then, our mind and body needs a respite as well from everyday stress in life.
